April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US is part of a select set of females who've been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman has become a brand new Olympian and is set to join her in Tokyo. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic Gold. With her age of 39, this may be her last chance to win the Olympic gold. She's certain that the top prizes can be achieved. Ross told NBC Boston that if they are at their absolute best and even play well and they are able to play well, the team will be able to win the gold medal. This is also the result of luck. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she resided with her parents and her sister. The athletic pursuits she pursued began at Newport Harbor High School where she was a part of a number of activities. She played basketball and ran the track as well as her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. She was clearly the best in the game of indoor volleyball. In her own biography her high school days, she was a volleyball player as an outside setter (middle blocker) and setting (outside blocker). In recognition of her accomplishments she was awarded the Gatorade Award for National Player in 1999. The 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Month was also received by her for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are performing their roles since 2017. The reality is that Ross played a significant role in the beach volleyball scene prior to the pair. In reality, she's had numerous big wins as well as one of her partners was an all-star volleyball player. For six years from 2007 to 2013 she teamed together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently was Klineman's coach. Together, Kessy Ross was a force on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. They were awarded a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the legend team which won the 2012 Olympic Games in London, beat them out to win the gold medal. Ross was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's resignation. In 2016, the pair took bronze at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross began her college professional career playing for the Trojans of USC in high school. This was years before Ross hit the beach, and then became a professional. Ross had an impressive run in the college. Her freshman year in 2000 saw her earn the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of Year awards and be an All-American. The Trojans were also able to make it to the Final Four with her help. In her sophomore season, she experienced a terrible personal loss, yet was able to be named an All-American. Through her two final years in the Trojans program, she coached the team to win a national championship every time. In her own way Ross established her status in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the best female volleyball players at colleges across the country. Ross majored at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross did not get to see Ross achieve beach volleyball's top level. Ross's mom died from cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. However, she continues to keep her mother's memory close and dear. Margie is a beach lover as well as in everyday life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
