Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978 was the daughter of Asalia Nazario, along with Aridio Saldana. Her father is Dominican as was her mother, while her father is Puerto Rican. Her parents raised their daughter within Queens, New York. She and her family moved from Queens in New York and to the Dominican Republic when she was 10; they lived in the Dominican Republic for 7 years. Zoe's passion for dance was piqued while they were in the Dominican. Zoe started her dance education through ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy.
