Amy Smart has been a model, actress, and a former American. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first role. Her struggle to land the role for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was a gruelling battle. Amy had a difficult time making the switch from modeling to acting because model actors aren't generally considered an actor of high quality. Models are often only given minor and unimportant parts.
