Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller role. This was not easy for Amy as she had change from modeling to acting. Models aren't regarded as the best actors, so they usually be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy had a determination to be successful and eventually she was offered bigger parts beginning at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major commercial success, and Amy has finally achieved the success she'd been striving for for over a decade. There were several major films in the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles in Shameless. Shameless series.
