Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. Her first role as an actor was in 1996's TV movie Her Costly Affair. It was a long road for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller role. This was not easy for Amy because she had transition from modelling to acting. Models aren't thought of as great actors so they tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy was determined to succeed and eventually she was offered bigger roles beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform larger role. It was a huge commercial success, and Amy has finally achieved the recognition that she was striving for for over 10 years. She did some big films in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character in Shameless. Shameless series.
